Superman visited our Sea Views Manor home home last week. Residents’ and our Sea Views team were delighted to host the legendary Man of Steel. Tom Membrey, has the lead role in the new musical comedy Superman The Musical, playing at the Shenton Theatre in Geelong. Much to residents and staff’s delight, he made a surprise visit during drinks around the piano bar. He sang two of the songs from the production, including the title song, Man of Steel. This delighted all who were in attendance and many of our residents could not believe their eyes, rushing to have a photo taken with the superhero resplendent in full costume.
The musical, itself, is based on the comic strip superhero and played on Broadway where it received positive reviews. Tom, who is the son of one of our Sea Views staff members, has also recently performed in the Andrew Lloyd Webber production of Les Miserables and is clearly destined for a bright future on the stage. We wish him well and thank him for putting smiles on so many of the residents’ faces.
