Ray, a lifelong car enthusiast, approached us with an exciting proposition. He envisioned a sponsorship for the Holden VH Commodore race car driven by Graeme Meer, where he serves as crew chief. Ray’s infectious enthusiasm and deep-seated passion for motorsport were undeniable. We were delighted to embrace this opportunity, recognising it as a chance to actively support Ray’s dreams and further enrich the lives of residents. Thus, the Homestyle Race Car was born, a symbol of our dedication to fostering passions.
The racing season last year, unfortunately, faced numerous disruptions due to COVID-19 restrictions. However, Ray diligently kept us updated on the race results, his spirit undeterred. He was particularly keen to share his love for racing with fellow residents and Homestyle team members. An ambitious drive day was planned, offering the thrilling experience of speeds reaching up to 280 km/h.
Ray’s unwavering optimism and determination have been truly inspiring. We are immensely proud to be a part of his journey and to support his passion. He remains hopeful for another drive day later in the year, promising “a few surprises” for each passenger. Ray is keeping the details tightly under wraps, building anticipation for what promises to be a truly exhilarating experience.
