Australia Day Celebrations at Point Cook Manor for staff and residents this year were a big hit! The Staff wore Australia Day t-shirts, bandanas and caps and the residents proudly waved their Australia Day Flags.
The main lounge was decorated with all things Australian, like posters and flags and all the tables were decked out with Australia Day tablecloths and Serviettes.
The residents were entertained by Steven Zammit, formerly a Young Talent Time Member. Stephen enthralled the residents singing songs from the 60’s to present as well as singing the National Anthem. Many of our residents sang along and tapped their feet to the beat.
Morning Tea was served with an Australian flavour including delicious lamingtons and meringues.
The staff had our residents captivated by their renditions of the chant “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie” and our residents comebacks of “Oi, Oi, Oi”!
A big thank you to our dedicated staff at Point Cook Manor for making this day so enjoyable and to our wonderful residents who participated with just as much enthusiasm!
