Our Seaviews Manor home commemorated the ANZAC landing at Gallipoli, and the valiant service of all men and women in the defence forces who have guaranteed our freedom here in Australia since and even before that time. It was a very special ceremony and we were delighted to have Lieutenant Colonel John Spencer, son of Leslyn Spencer, one of our residents as guest speaker as well as student Daisy Crees, army cadet and daughter of one of our staff members, Celena.
Over 120 residents, family members and staff gathered for this commemoration and it was very gratifying to be able to honour our past serving residents as part of this ceremony.
At Seaviews, we have 19 ex-service men and women who had pride of place at our service. The Oldest being 101 with others closely following between 96- 99! And still in fine sprit, rising to the occasion for this special day.
