It’s been a frustrating few months for our Residents and Families at Point Cook Manor. Covid19 precautions have made regular family catch ups difficult, and as the Western suburbs have been heavily impacted during this second wave, even more so.
Our Families have been exceptionally understanding during this difficult time, that the safety of our Residents must be everyone’s top priority and they have enthusiastically adapted normal visiting routines to embrace new technologies such as Zoom, What’s App and Facetime, as well as enjoying touching window visits. We have also experienced a wonderful revival of letter writing amongst our Residents and Families, with handwritten notes, drawings and photos, emails and care packages being dropped off daily for our dedicated Lifestyle team to share with loved ones.
