The ‘Biggest Morning Tea’ fundraiser was held at Sea Views Manor on Thursday May 23rd. Sea Views is renowned for this annual event. The dining room was transformed into the chaos of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with Alice, the Mad Hatter himself and a variety of other unexpected guests making an appearance.
Very special thanks to the Catering staff who prepared a mouth-watering spread, our fantastic staff who donned a range of weird and wonderful costumes and of course our amazing residents who wore colourful hats, socks, funny glasses and other odd items to join in the spirit of such a joyful occasion.
Even more pleasing was the fact that as well as having such fun, we raised in excess of $300 for ongoing research into cancer management and prevention!
The photos below capture the fun and frivolity that typified this very happy occasion. Mark from Homestyle Head Office, who was visiting us that day, dressed up as well as our new CSM, for this traditional Sea Views celebration. We are very proud of our commitment to this fundraising cause and have been raising funds for the Cancer Council of Victoria for over ten years. We consider this one of the important outreach activities that we undertake as a whole community facility and look forward to it every year.
