Staff and residents at Amaroo Gardens spoke of their great enjoyment at the first Wine and Cheese Family night held recently at the residence, and commented that they didn’t want the night to end!
The event was held in the main lounge from 6.30pm onwards. Singer and Entertainer Elia Cannizzo captivated residents and their families with her singing of rock and roll hits as well as cover songs from the 60’s and 70’s,
There were around 80 people in total who not only sang along with Elia, but some got up and danced. Many of the residents danced with their visiting daughters, but even a few of our resident Grandads’ were seen to be having a bogie, much as they said they didn’t dance!
Residents and their families enjoyed sharing a wine or two, along with delicious platters of cheeses, dips and fruit.
A big thank you to our dedicated staff for making our first family Cheese and Wine in July night so relaxing and enjoyable for our residents, and to our wonderful residents who participated with just as much gusto!
